Unexpected objects, and colors

Let’s Hang

Ben here. On a recent walk in the forest, I noticed the leaves are particularly bright this fall. Outstanding oranges and yellows and a few reds popped out of the grey morning.

I was disappointed by the accuracy of my camera - how do I capture the color? And in frustration, turned my attention to the forest floor, where I found all kinds of different colors. Mostly from junk, unfortunately, but also from cute, single plants, doing their thing away from the massive trees that pull our gaze upwards.

Anyway, this fall, we’re releasing new audiobooks (including another Spiegel Bestseller) and shows in German and English.

And we’ll be attending and organizing events to talk partnerships, audiobooks, podcasts, and new media business models. We hope to see many of you again in person and catch up:

  • 16-17 October: Frankfurt Book Fair

  • 18 October: PodFest Berlin (see below)

  • 1 November: Mark your calendars for our newest show release at Bethanien in Berlin

We’ll keep sharing bigger updates here, but follow us on Instagram for a more consistent flow…

See you there on Saturday, 18 Oct?

PodFest Berlin

On this Saturday, 18 October, we’ll be running two events at PodFest:

First, a podcasting with kids workshop at 11am. The idea here is to experiment with a format for hands-on audio-making. It’s limited to only 7 slots, so please hurry and book if you (and your kid) are interested.

Then, at 13.30, Peter and I will present: How we took our indie podcast to the BBC. We’ll discuss what we learned on the production and editing side, but also revisit the topic of ancestral / human remains, the impact of German colonialism impact today, and share some of our plans for Dig Where You Stand in the future.

We’re hoping to have a lively Q&A with other producers and listeners in the audience, so get your Saturday pass here.
